Description

Here's a beautiful American coin silver footed vegetable bowl with lid, made by William Gale & Son of New York (c. 1850-60). This features a pretty floral repousse design, along with acanthus leaves accenting the lid and base.  The rim is also circled with a gadroon edge.  One side is inscribed with "From MBC" and the other side is monogrammed "RW".
Measurements:  9" rim diameter, 12.25" from handle end to handle end, bowl height is 4.25".
